I am geographically restricted, but I am interested more in CPRPs than PGY1 in a hospital setting. I haven't looked much into programs that are available but what is the best way to locate those programs?

ASHP's residency directory can be accessed at https://accreditation.ashp.org/directory/#/program/residency > filter by category: PGY1 > sub-category: Community-based Pharmacy

I still feel like I am trying to narrow down where I want to practice after graduation, although I am interested in AmbCare. Will doing a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency “hurt” my chances of getting a PGY2 Ambulatory Care residency if that is what I decide vs doing a CPRP?

When we apply, are we able to apply to a mix of PGY1 Pharmacy and PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy?

I am very interested in population health and pursuing pharmacy with public health after graduation. CPRPs sound like a great fit for me however, I have also heard that hospitals have population health metrics as well. In your experience, how have inpatient and community-based pharmacies approached population health differently? or similarly?

Food for thought: what are your negotiables and non-negotiables when considering programs? Thank you all for participating! We hope that this was beneficial!
